Cairo International Airport:
Your journey commences as our driver collects you from your Cairo hotel to board a flight to Aswan.
Aswan High Dam:
Upon arrival in Aswan, you'll be greeted by our guide at the exit gate of your terminal, kicking off your exploration of this culturally diverse and beautiful city. Your first stop is the remarkable Aswan High Dam, a colossal structure on the Nile River in Aswan, constructed between 1960 and 1970 for flood control and hydroelectric power generation. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour and take in impressive views of the Nile River and the nearby temples of Abu Simbel.
Temple of Philae:
Next, you'll visit the Temple of Philae, an ancient Egyptian temple complex nestled on an island in the Nile River near Aswan. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, it was relocated to its present location following the construction of the Aswan High Dam. This temple is a renowned tourist attraction, celebrated for its stunning architecture and rich history. Afterward, you'll check in to your hotel for some rest.
Tombs of the Nobles:
Around 2 pm, our guide will pick you up from your hotel to embark on an adventure to the Tombs of the Nobles and Abu al-Hawa via a motorboat on the Nile, offering scenic views. These ancient Egyptian tombs, dating back to the Old Kingdom and Middle Kingdom periods, belonged to affluent and influential individuals. Adorned with intricate carvings and paintings depicting scenes from daily life and mythology, the Tombs of the Nobles are situated on a hill overlooking the Nile, providing breathtaking views. Meanwhile, Abu al-Hawa is a cliffside tomb offering a unique and fascinating glimpse into ancient Egyptian culture.
Nubian Museum:
Your exploration continues at the Nubian Museum, an archaeological gem located in Aswan, Egypt. This museum offers a captivating journey through the history and culture of the Nubian people, with exhibits spanning from prehistoric times to the present day. Its diverse collection includes pottery, jewelry, and other cultural and historical relics.
Nubian Village:
Concluding the day, you'll visit the Nubian Village, a quaint community nestled along the banks of the Nile River in southern Egypt. Inhabited by members of the Nubian ethnic group, this village invites you to immerse yourself in their customs, traditions, and daily life. You'll also have the opportunity to savor traditional Nubian cuisine and hospitality before our guide returns you to your hotel.
Abu Simbel Temple Complex:
At approximately 4:30 am, our driver will pick you up for a shared group trip to Abu Simbel. By 8 am, you'll arrive at one of Egypt's most awe-inspiring sites – the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, renowned for their unique design built for King Ramesses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. After this remarkable visit, you'll return to Aswan for your flight back to Cairo.
Cairo:
Upon your arrival at Cairo airport, our driver will be waiting at the exit gate to transport you to your Cairo hotel, concluding your unforgettable journey through Aswan and its historic treasures.
